"dude...I'll slow down because you have to see this lady!"--Suz

I woke up this morning and after showering Suzanne called me. She informed me that we were going to run a little late because her mom had taken her tennis equipment and she was in Pekin. So...a little bit later Suzanne picked me up in the van. I got to see pics of her new room...and it's mad rad! We are going to have a party in there some time soon..haha. Anyways, we are driving near PARADICE and as I told her about my grandma's gambling party, Suzanne starts to laugh. I knew the laugh wasn't about my grandma so as I looked at Suz she asked, "did you see her!?". I hadn't noticed anything that really caught my eye so Suzanne then replies, "I have to slow down, you must see this." As we rounded the corner our speed decreased and we became even with a cutlass. I looked in the window at the drivers seat and there sat this I'd say...50 year old woman with neon colored hair ties put up into pig tails...and she pretty much just made me smile. I thought that I'd capture the moment in time so I reached for Suzanne's camera. As I zoomed in on her rosey red cheeks she sped into the turning lane to gamble. I looked ahead and we were going a good 65 to keep up with her and the light was green, but there were cars still sitting at the lights from when it was red. We had to stpo and wait and she drove off as we sat stuck at the lights behind a semi. I kept the camera out just incase something else interesting happend..but no such luck. Suzanne took me down some street and showed me the home of a rapist...and then her old house. It was really cute...but the fact that it was two blocks away from a very disturbed man detracted from it's pea green shudders. After crusing by her old place we went to get her tennis gear. Her mom walked out to the car giving it to us and cracked a joke about how entertaining it is to sit and watch idiots drive the wrong way. I laughed but then thought to myself, "heh...if I had my license I'd probably be one of those idiots". After we left we took the road out with really nice homes. We admired their beauty and came pretty close to blowing a stop sign. All went well and we headed to tennis. We were heading into Germantown and Suzanne looked at me and asked, "Do you want to go to Joe Brews?" I looked down at my tennis bag and thought about the $10.00 that I had and how good a joe's caramel mocha delight would taste...and relpied, "dude...yeah!". We felt bad about going because we were about 50 min late for tennis...but really what would 5 minutes change? We drove into the drive threw and ordered our coffee. It could just be me, but honestly I think that the coffee gets better every time. We drove out to the courts and then headed in for open courts. When we meandered onto the courts an hour late Boek asked, "is it daylight savings time!?!?" Suzanne then told him why we were running so late and suprisingly he admired our dedication. That made me feel worse...knowing that I had a frap melting away in the car...!
Open Courts-
When we got there they were playing trouble. It's a volley game...but I wasn't really doing so well I guess. I norm win and get to play on Boek's side...but today I just wasn't in the zone. I didn't do too bad but still...we picked up balls and then played some games. My first game was doubles. My partner was Sarah and we played Laura and Mary. Sarah and I ended up winning and it was a really good game. After that I played with Lauren against Jessica and Mary. That game didn't go so well...but hey you have your games. We vollied after everyone finished and talked until the end of prac. Suzanne and I got there reallllly late so we decided to stay there and get some court time. Suz decided to play a game to 4. I started with the serve...and I ended up winning the whole thing 4-0. Something tells me that Suz wasn't really giving it her all! After that we practiced for a bit and just messed around. It was really nice outside so I wanted to go run on the track but Suzanne didn't want to play anymore tennis let alone go run. We packed up our stuff and headed back for the bay. Half way down a road I decided we should go a different way so after Suzanne said, "I'm going to kick your ass" we turned around. We drove down a gravel road and I showed her my old house...it was really nice. Once we got onto mile tree I told her that the speed limit was 35. She argued so I made her turn around again and we made a $5 dollar bet. Turns out it wasn't 35 it was just a sign warning you to slow down because it soon would be....but it doesn't help to be cautious so we were both kind of right. I already payed her $5 anyway that day for gas. She dropped me off and...now I'm here.

I MISS SPED...she's gone until Saturday!!!
